We have teams in Belgium and in the partner countries. We collaborate with local NGOs, governments, companies, schools, etc. Our approach is also inclusive, with a special focus on gender and diversity.

We take a systemic approach based on lessons learned and good practices, which leads to structural solutions. Through pilot projects, we are also working on models that can be used at local, national and international level. In this way, we contribute to knowledge building and sharing.

Join For Water is the only water NGO in Belgium. There are dozens of recognised NGOs in our country, but Join For Water is the only one that focuses entirely on water.

We have decades of expertise in water supply and nature restoration. Join For Water has been in existence since 1977.

A lot of companies base their sustainability strategy or their CSR policy on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Join For Water is the only NGO in Belgium that focuses on SDG 6, “Ensure access to and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all”. This goal is very closely linked to other development goals such as the fight against poverty and hunger, and the objectives surrounding health, gender equality, education, climate action, life on land, aquatic life, and partnerships. By supporting the objectives Join For Water pursues, your company is also contributing to the other SDGs.

By supporting initiatives such as protecting and restoring forest and wetlands in our partner countries, you are also balancing out CO2 emissions.

The SDGs, or Sustainable Development Goals, are objectives aimed at promoting sustainable social development. Join For Water contributes to SDGs 6, 13, 14, 15, but also to 2, 5 and 12: clean water, climate, biodiversity, food security, gender equality and sustainable consumption. As a company, you can demonstrate your social commitment by supporting specific SDGs.

ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) provides a framework for achieving some of these goals. By complying with ESG criteria, companies can become more sustainable while strengthening their reputation among stakeholders and investors.

Your corporate donation is welcome on account number BE22 5230 8036 1747, Join For Water. If you wish, we will provide you with a debit note for your accounts. In the month of March of the following year you will receive a letter of notice or tax certificate.

The amount that companies can deduct for donations is limited to a maximum of 5% of the total taxable profit, with an absolute maximum of €500,000. In addition, a donation is only deductible from the profit for the financial year and is therefore not transferable to subsequent years.

If you can deduct a donation within your company, it is more advantageous to make the donation through the company rather than privately. Deductible donations provide a tax benefit of 45% in personal income tax. On the other hand, the net salary you used to make the donation from the company is approximately 60% “cost” (social security contributions + taxes).

Join For Water is looking for partners who want to support us in guaranteeing the right to water for people and nature alike. Both one-off donations and long-term collaborations are possible. Structural cooperation offers Join For Water more long-term perspective and certainty. We can also check whether your company could support us with specific knowledge or expertise, in addition to offering financial support.
