Social Watch Bénin

Social Watch is an NGO that encourages citizens to monitor the activities of the government and wants to positively influence government decisions.

Citizen monitoring can take place at the national level but also at the level of municipalities. Social Watch thus strives for transparency and accountability.  It provides education on the rights and duties of citizens, social awareness, citizen monitoring, demanding accountability, advocacy, and monitoring of budgets and investments.

Together with Join For Water, Social Watch forms (supra-) local management groups to enable citizen participation and advocacy.
