CNSFN

CNSFN – short for Coalition nationale pour la sauvegarde du fleuve Niger – is, as its name suggests, engaged in protecting the Niger River in Mali. Its specialties are the quality of the river water and fighting the pollution and impoverishment of the lands in the river basin. CNSFN is also committed to the protection of fragile ecosystems. CNSFN works on a local, regional and (inter)national level.

As a partner of Join For Water, CNSFN works mainly on advocacy. The protection of Niger in all its aspects is on the agenda, as well as lobbying for changes in national legislation affecting the Niger River. CNSFN will also use education and sensitisation to raise awareness and show people that they have a role as a watchdog in the sustainable use of natural resources.
