The projects below are parts of broader programs in the countries where we operate. They give a good idea of the different activities that a program can include. After all, we always approach the theme of water in a broad context: on the one hand, freshwater ecosystems must be protected and restored, only in this way can we continue to enjoy the benefits of these ecosystems – the so-called ‘ecosystem services’. On the other hand, infrastructure and management initiatives are needed to make ecosystem services – such as drinking water, water for agriculture – available to humans (on a long-term basis).
