Universidad Nacional de Jaén

The National University of Jaén in Peru (UNJ) is a research and education institute and aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the country.

Ecuador and Peru have committed to a shared management of the Mayo-Chinchipe basin. The UNJ is following up on this bi-national agreement and participating in its implementation.

As a partner of Join For Water, the UNJ takes on research activities, and is involved in capacity building and information and knowledge management about the basin. Those involved in the management of water resources and their ecosystem services receive training on the subject.
