JESE partner Oeganda


JESE – Joint Effort to Save the Evironment – is a national Ugandan NGO and acknowledged as a centre of expertise for the Rwenzori region. JESE specialises in community-based development programmes.

It sensitises and mobilises communities for equitable access to and use of water resources, safe water, sanitation and hygiene. JESE advocates and lobbies from local to national level for the protection and conservation of water resources.

JESE has been the partner of Join For water for almost 20 years and can build on its experience in developing micro-basins in the catchment area downstream of Mpanga, from Fort Portal town to the banks of Lake George. JESE will also carry out some work in the Semliki basin.
