CIRAD

CIRAD – short for Centre de coopération internationale en recherche agronomique pour le développement – is a French research institute for agriculture.

CIRAD aims to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals related to agriculture and health. The institute works on food systems that feed people healthily, provide producers with a decent income and are resistant to global changes, including climate change. Conservation of biodiversity and natural resources is central.

For all this, CIRAD mobilises science, innovation and training. CIRAD interacts with all stakeholders, from producers/farmers to policy makers.
