International cartoon competition “Every drop counts”

April 1, 2025

Do you have a talent for drawing or a sharp pen? Then read on, because Join For Water is collaborating on a new edition of a Belgian international cartoon competition. This year, everything revolves around a topical and pressing theme: ‘Every drop of water counts!’ That is why Join For Water has been brought on board as a partner. The cartoon competition has already had several successful editions. Last time, they received no fewer than 1,004 entries from 65 countries across all continents.

About the theme

Water is precious, but at the same time extremely vulnerable. Climate change, population growth and increasing demand are putting pressure on our global water supply. Only 3% of all water on earth is fresh water, and most of that is not even directly available. This leads to scarcity, drought, flooding and pollution – problems that are felt all over the world.

That is why we want to use this cartoon competition to spread an important message: using water consciously is no longer a choice, but a necessity. Alone, we are a drop, but together we are a river.
